Direct Cars was established in 1984; a family company serving you for over 30 years.

The Company started with four company vehicles and the occasional phone call. Business was built up gradually and all advertising was by word of mouth. In 2001, Direct Cars upgraded from traditional paper, pen and radio methods to a more sophisticated fully computerised taxi dispatching system, the most up to date system on the market.

The system is regularly upgraded to ensure it continues to be efficient and offers the best service possible to all users and most importantly to our customers. Direct Cars still operates from its original premises on West View, Forest Hall mainly due to the walk in trade at this location. Direct Cars has gone from strength to strength with an impressive weekly job total and an enviable reputation as one of the largest taxi companies in the North East. We know our customers have a choice in which taxi company they call and this is why at Direct Cars customer service really is our main focus and we aim to set ourselves apart from any other taxi company by offering superior customer service.
